Hilariously unprofessional. They kept changing the date/time of phone screens. Sent me a list of people I would be interviewing with, then changed it to an entirely different list of people right before the interview. When I arrived, they had trouble getting the conference room for the interview, then couldn't get the video conference unit OR the conference phone working, so for the portion with remote interviewers, I had to use my personal cell phone... for like 2 hours, sitting alone in a conference room, while eating lunch because they didn't book a meal break. Half of the people who interviewed me were unwelcoming, and some were even aggressive - like how dare I interview for this job (maybe they had hoped to be promoted into it themselves?). Some of them also looked like they had just woken up from an afternoon nap and rolled out of bed.
I had looked at their postings and assumed I was interviewing for the job that matched most closely to my current one. It wasn't until I was most of the way through the day that someone mentioned off-hand that I was interviewing for a more senior position. As a result, I wasn't able to speak with as much detail to a few questions they asked. Some of the interviewers would get stuck on a single detail and ate up their entire time on that, even when it was clear I wasn't going to give them the answer they wanted on my own. I'd get 95% of the answer, and they'd spend 80% of the interview harping on that last 5%, instead of moving on to a different topic.
I left there thinking to myself "I wouldn't work for this place even if they offered me a position". Of course, they didn't offer it to me, but I guess no one ever told them that interviews are an opportunity to represent your company to the public, and an interviewee should have a good experience even if they don't get the job.
