The Role
As our SDR, you'll be responsible for identifying, engaging and qualifying cold prospective customers that fit WriteUpp's ideal customer profile through outbound sales activity.
You'll build targeted prospect lists, execute cold outbound outreach campaigns, uncover opportunities and create qualified pipeline for our Business Development Representatives (BDRs), primarily in the form of qualified demo bookings.
This role is focused on generating qualified sales opportunities, not simply booking meetings.
You'll work closely with Sales and Marketing to help establish scalable outbound processes, refine messaging and identify new growth opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesProspecting & Research
- Identify and research private healthcare practices across the UK and Europe
- Build targeted account lists aligned to WriteUpp's ideal customer profile
- Identify clinic owners, practice managers, directors and key decision-makers
- Maintain accurate prospect and account data within HubSpot
- Research competitor usage and potential replacement opportunities
Outbound Pipeline Generation
- Execute personalised outbound email campaigns
- Prospect through LinkedIn and other professional networks
- Conduct outbound calling & lead identification
- Bbuild and manage multi-touch outreach sequences
- Generate interest and uncover potential opportunities
Lead Qualification
- Conduct initial discovery conversations with prospects
- Understand practice workflows, challenges and software requirements
- Identify buying intent, pain points and commercial fit
- Qualify opportunities against agreed criteria
- Hand qualified opportunities to the BDR team for further progression
Continuous Improvement
- Share customer, market and competitor insights
- Test and optimise messaging, targeting and outreach approaches
- Contribute to outbound playbooks and prospecting processes
- Work closely with Marketing to support campaigns, webinars and events
About You
You'll likely have:
- Previous experience in an SDR, BDR, Lead Generation or Cold Outbound Sales role
- A track record of generating qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting
- Experience working within a SaaS environment (preferable healthcare related)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence engaging with business owners and senior decision-makers
- Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM platform
- A self-motivated and proactive approach to work
Desirable Experience
- Healthcare technology or healthcare SaaS
- Practice management, EMR or EHR software
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator Training
- Multi-country prospecting
- Additional European language skills
Success Measures
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Qualified opportunities created via cold outreach
- Outbound pipeline generated
- Opportunity conversion rates
- Data quality and CRM management
- Contribution to developing a repeatable outbound sales motion
Compensation
- Initial 3-month contractor agreement
- £2,500 salary per month, equal to a salary of £30,000/year
- Commission paid on every qualified opportunity created and progressed
- Fully remote working, including a laptop
- Potential progression into a permanent SDR or BDR position
- This role must be based in the United Kingdom
