I worked at Payvision full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Honestly none. Met some nice people but that was the height of it.

    Cons

Disorganized management, office politics and atmosphere made it toxic. More about who you know and management are not held accountable for their poor decisions and favourtism. Lack of cross-communication and willingness to collaborate with other teams who were relevant to my role. Since ING acquired a large stake, the direction of the company took a turn for the worst. Very fake, superficial and unsupportive environment. Extremely low pay, low possibility for career progression and no appreciation for the hard work done. CEO had no time for the "little" people, even to just say hello or good morning. Payvision also has a corrupted and questionable beginning - just a few Google searches of the founding history will answer why.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Payvision (Madrid (Spain)) in September 2018.

    Interview

I had a phone screening first, then I was given a github exercise to complete. I had one week to complete the exercise which I did in time.

A few days after I submitted the exercise I got an email back saying that I wasn't selected for the next part of the interview, with no feedback at all of why.
I kindly replied to the email and ask for feedback, but never got an answer back to that email.

I understand that hiring is hard for companies and that they have to spend a lot of time reviewing these kind of tests, but it is also time consuming for candidates to do these tests. A company should appreciate this to candidates and AT LEAST tell them why they are not being hired and give some feedback. I wouldn't want to work for companies where they don't give feedback to candidates, I think it's disrespectful.
