Pros

Great supervision for certification. Lots of knowledgeable BCBAs

Cons

Low pay compared to other ABA companies in the area. Long, unpaid breaks during your 10 hour work day. Reprimanded if close to overtime, but expected to work 40 hours. Micromanaged. The company doesn't pay for any admin time, so RBTs work 7-9 hours of direct therapy on some days. Benefits and morale have both declined since owner came back on board to manage, and the company is only worried about making a profit, ignoring the wellbeing of therapists and the quality of service to children. No PTO for therapists, just a max of unpaid days off.

Thank you for your review and feedback. As a company, we value our clients and our employees. We have provided quality services to children with special needs in our community for over 16 years with great success. BCOTB strictly adheres to the BACB code of ethics in both the treatment of clients, as well as our therapy staff. We treat each staff member with respect and value all feedback. Additionally, BCOTB pays competitively, taking into consideration the hiring of employees without undergraduate degrees and paying for the RBT certification course, time in the course and paying for the RBT exam. BCOTB has also offered hourly therapy staff paid time off since 2017. There are thresholds that an employee must meet to be eligible, which is predicated on the employee's availability to work. We apologize that you were not happy with your employment experience and will pass your feedback to the appropriate members of the management teams.

Thank you for your service at BCOTB! As you know, we have provided quality services to children with special needs in our community for over 20 years with great success. The company is committed to taking ALL feedback to constantly improve both the client's and therapy staff's experiences. We appreciate the positive review and would love to hear more regarding communication and how we could improve. All of our management team's doors are 'open,' so we encourage you to offer feedback, when possible. We appreciate your feedback, and service at BCOTB, and look forward to continuing to serve the Tampa Bay Autism pediatric community, as we have done since 2003. Thank you!

Thank you for your service at BCOTB. As you know, we have provided quality services to children with special needs in our community for over 20 years with great success. The company is committed to taking ALL feedback to constantly improve both the client's and therapy staff's experiences. In terms of the employee schedule, our team is consistent in never scheduling team members over 35-40 hours per week for direct therapy staff, and consistently oversees salaried employees to ensure our team works no more than 40 hours to maintain a work-life balance, which is not only in line with the ABA industry, but in line with almost all industries and their workweeks. Additionally, the pay range and opportunities for upward mobility are designed so that an employee can work for their desired pay and controls their pay scale growth pace. Any supervisory team member can review opportunities for growth, which are more than achievable if an employee is willing to work. Finally, our team is compromised of over 14 supervisory team members who are always willing to clarify, answer questions, and assist team members, so we do encourage you to reach out to any of those team members if you feel need assistance. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to continuing to serve the Tampa Bay Autism pediatric community, as we have done since 2003.
