    I worked at Baxter full-time

    Pros

Plenty of opportunity available to take on projects and recommend change.

    Quality and patient safety focus

    Great work life balance

Management and wider teams support and care.

    Cons

Matrix organisation can have competing priorities that are misaligned.

Difficult to embed change due to lack of understanding of who owns processes.

Multiple systems in use throughout operations, meaning data and processes differ across regions.

Leadership mature and static in post which means that opportunity to progress beyond a certain level could be restricted.

I worked at Baxter full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Didn’t come across many, product does help the customer when they can get it

    Cons

Constant firing and instability of senior teams in Europe (we had 4 plant managers in 4 months and no one wanted the job!)
Very poor management team, most either went or should have already been pushed
Quality and safety wanted but not really planned for and just seemed to be a buzz word
Those who leave get the blame for those higher above who don’t want to take any responsibility for their actions
Lying and inactivity the main management technique

    Advice to Management

Get some who want to be there and then train them
