Pros

CIty center location a lot of unhealthy snacks...if that is what you like free cereals in the morning

Cons

where to start? Event he lowest management is not able to actually manage people. Most of those who have reports do have skills, makes me wonder how they got there! Money is mismanaged, knowbody cares. They spend loads of money for a company wide summer meeting for just one day, flying anybody into Brighton. Budgets for local offices is slashed because of this. HR is a mess, whith people that carry fancy titles but how no clue and are not open to change. Very passive-aggressive vibe in the support areas (finance, HR, admin) No career path. C-suit keep talking about it but no outcome since 3-4 years! They just keep talking until those that are feed up...just leave. If you do not brown-nose you get the boot. Almost daily one-on-one that do not yield any outcome but give the illusion of being connected and valued (?). In case you have a valid point, one gets shut down, aka. "I am the manager, I put my foot down!" If your manager does not like you have hard times and will implement a PIP in order to cover themselves in case company wants to fire you. if you have served your purpose you are discarded. Culture and Values just a corporate statement, however not lived Bike2work, pension contribution etc. is sold a generous benefit, although either statutory minimum (pension) or no real costs for company (bike2work). Discounts for gym membership: well this is just for one gym and the discount is ca. 5 GBP/month for a gym that is not even that good. All in all, the company is run by very entitled millennials and therefore it is just like one expects at High School. Do not even think about equal pay for equal work...does not happen and rather way below market standard.

Don’t do it

Pros

The people used to be great. There is also the opportunity to work remotely.

Cons

Since the merger with Cision, the company went from having an open, European culture to the worst of the worst of awful corporate American. No transparency from leadership, absolute incompetence in how they run the company and decisions are being made straight from the owners (Platinum). The CEO and the board (who are all friends of his, without exaggeration) are puppets who follow orders from Platinum- who in turn have no idea what the company is, what the products do and how the business makes money. They keep laying off people secretly- you only figure it out when you try to contact them and their accounts are deactivated. Over the last 2 years there have been at least 5 big rounds of layoffs but multiple smaller cycles that they just don’t communicate. Imagine working somewhere were every month some of your closest colleagues are laid off without reason, warning in nonsensical decisions, you never know if you or your team are next, the stress is insane. They have stopped looking at their employees as people, they are just numbers on a spreadsheet. The salaries are low, the stress is high and they will let you go even if you are a top performer and do valuable work that makes the business money- they just don’t care if the product is good, they are trying to sell the company for as much money as possible. It is a real shame. Up until the merger with Cision last autumn, I loved working there. The culture was good, the people amazing and the work itself incredibly fulfilling. I’m glad I’m out of there!

Culture shift downturn

Pros

As echoed in other reviews, there are still some fantastic lower level peers and senior managers still trying to fire fight and protect employees as much as they can. Work life balance is so far unaffected. The CI part of the product is still best in class.

Cons

Unfortunately the most recent positive results are an attempt by HR to improve the clearly declining situation. Long standing senior staff are leaving due to culture change since the new CEO and CRO have come in. Pay rise freezes despite being 'profitable' - we're only profitable due to major cut backs in staff last year (under the guise of removing 'duplicate roles') which has caused reduced resources, more work for remaining staff and confusion to role responsibilities. All while GLT spending on their own global travel, salaries and pointless jolly's in Miami carry on. CRO is creating a toxic environment with their communication style. Commercial targets for the quarter were promised and not released within the quarter - yet passive aggressive comms come across to the team. The review referencing the CEO fake crying after firing 80 staff is unfortunately true. Respect for staff is on the decline. If you're not a yes man, you're out.
