I have been working at Burberry full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Passionate people, great benefits, very collaborative, great brand

    Cons

No clarity on decision makers, constant change means change fatigue and lots of inefficiency, very little empowerment, not a flexible working culture, very reactive

    Advice to Management

Match your words with your actions. Learn to prioritise. Simplify things rather than making more complex. If you give people more freedom, you will get more engagement

    Pros

Good perks, culture, people and environment.

    Cons

Cronyism , too much middle management and people waiting for retirement with no passion, drive or energy.

    Advice to Management

Vet people thoroughly, take references, stick to objectives and KPIs- measure performance.

I worked at Burberry full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good discounts, even better at sample sales!

    Cons

It doesn't matter how hard you work - you're replaceable anyway! Promotions are only for those who are in the managements' "inner circle", so if you're not in there, then no chance!

    Pros

Fast paced environment, great people to work with

    Cons

Hard to get promoted, low remuneration

    Advice to Management

Fucus more on growing talent as opposed to try and keep people in the same role for too long as they will leave and find alternative employment, taking key knowledge that could have been used to grow the business

I have been working at Burberry full-time

    Pros

Induction was ok, followed by training in London and sample sale at Horseferry House

    Cons

sadly Burberry hired "managers" that seemed to have never managed people before. I wonder how these even made it through the cut.

Some managers are from Big4 or other big brands however this does not warrant any quality all along. I guess these guys only know in theory about SSCs or how to truly motivate staff. Sadly just arrogance in abundance.

Atmosphere is very toxic and sadly just blame and shame.
Best are the morning huddles that everybody has to attend, where whatever manager praise themselves/ each other. The people who actually do the work get a murky smile.
However, everybody has to mark on a board how one is feeling that particular day.
Yes you guessed it, like in elementary school!

A lot of abuse from managers as they demand the impossible. If you speak up, you get the boot.

Culture/ Values are only on paper.
In London was real Burberry and I liked it. In Leeds ... no, that is not Burberry.

An iconic British brand in disarray run by children!

Stay away from this mess and run!

    Advice to Management

That is how you build a Call Center...well done and you are good for an extra bonus hence you just offer laugh-worthy salaries.
