Pros
There are a great number of opportunities to learn on the job for young staff members and you can get experience doing a number of duties at all phases of project design and construction.
Cons
Upper management, aside from two of the principals, lack vision and have little interest in improving work processes. Technology is lacking behind industry standards. Projects lack leadership and design decisions and project management will often fall on the lowest ranking member of the team by default. After being hired you may be staffed on projects that do no align with your career goals and it can be very difficult to reorient your responsibilities under the current system.
