I have been working at EY-Parthenon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - reputation is good but was stronger when Parthenon was separate from EY - salary is higher than most other strategy consulting firms. It used to be higher than MBB but the merger with EY dropped the salary. - opportunity to learn all sorts of skills.

    Cons

    - the culture used to be incredible. The Parthenon team really embodied 'smart, nice, driven'. It used to be a pleasure to work there. After the merger with EY, everything collapsed. The culture and people are not the same, it became a corporate company like any large audit/ tax firm. - Quality of people. The best people left the firm after the merger with EY, including the partner who was head of Parthenon. It is... not what it used to be. - Work-life balance. There is no life. just work.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at EY-Parthenon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Excellent learning environment, good progression rate, some growing practices with very strong reputation

    Cons

change of leadership has been challenging - very un involved new office head, doesn't know anybody's name (and does not seem to care). Compensation has also declined

    Advice to Management

Put in place a head of office who cares about the people doing good work, and reward them appropriately. Treat the business and its people like legacy Parthenon / OC&C rather than "EY Strategy"
