Pros

I really enjoy working for Ryanair. Lean organizational structure. You'll have close contact/ exposure to senior management. Great environment to learn about business and sales strategies. Excellent environment to promote experiments and learn quickly given the high volumes. Get the feeling of an early state business living inside a big company that is not scared of making mistakes. As it happens in the army, the system is brutal so you'll end up bonding with your peers to survive. I made great friends at Ryanair. After a few years here you'll be prepared for the market. Relatively easy access to valuable data and tools to make data-informed decisions. Here, done is better than perfect. This is a fast-paced environment.

Cons

Compensation is below the market standard. The bonus compensation is never paid fully. 50% depends on the company's performance (and the target is always aggressive). The other 50% will depend on your individual performance (It is believed that everyone could do better and I agree, but that also means you'll almost certainly never get 100% of that 50%). If you have an ego or is the sensitive type, just save yourself some time and don't join. This is a place for killers. As a PO/ PM trying to achieve business goals you'll almost certainly have heated discussions with UX/ UI and Legal - The shopping experience is naturally approved to perform, not to be smooth. The white and blue tickets you'll get are not a big deal. With the white tickets, you're not guaranteed a seat in the aircraft, so if the plane is full you'll be left behind (hard to plan a weekend away not knowing you'll be able to return to work on Monday :D ). The 5 Blue tickets you'll get per year (after your probation period) need to be booked 3 months in advance when you wish to travel in the high season. Long probation period (1 year).

Pros

Decent salary, but still not enough, and not even comparable with other airlines, also the low cost ones.

Cons

Everything. The worst company I have ever worked for, 0, ZERO respect for the workers. Your are just a slave, that needs to sell as much scratch cards and products on board. If you don't do it? They will call you on your personal mobile and tell you that it's not acceptable and stuff like this, trying to scare you. I have seen people FIRED for this, and even for other stupid things. Also sometimes, it's SO unsafe! There's cabin crews, that I met, that literally don't know anything about this work, not even closing the doors properly. Absolutely a disaster, but yeah, you just need to sell as much as possible, who cares about the rest.. Also, you are not getting paid for OT, it doesn't even exist, usually you do 4 flights in a day, you could start at 5:00 AM (It means that you need to get up at 3:30 maybe, and be at the airport on time), and get back home after 5/6 PM, it happened to me a lot of times, and my health, was absolutely a disaster, I had to leave because I had a lot of medical conditions due to flying too much. I couldn't do that anymore.
