Pros

Hardly any at all. Nice office but difficult to get to if you don't have your own transport. Even worse with rushhour traffic on way home. Only good for getting work experience in your CV and nothing else.

Cons

Where do I even start. Work culture is toxic with managers with ridiculous expectations. There is constant chaos and no clear processes. The company has hundreds of systems and processes and has a hard time keeping everything organised. They offer little support to help improve and will always tell you you're not doing enough despite working alot of unpaid overtime. A friend of mine was put on a PIP just because the manager didn't like them and wasn't given adequate support to improve and was deliberately sabotaged by the manager. And if that wasn't hard enough, the company demands you to do what they call "Foundation days". Officially these events are not compulsory, but HR and line managers will force you to do them against your will as if their lives depend on it. They will also prevent you from receiving a salary bonus if you don't complete them or do what they see as enough. They have OKRs which are designed to set up objectives to improve your growth same as other companies, the only difference is that they are tedious and unclear at Sage and always demand unrealistic goals. The company has also cut alot of corners and made redundancies which is ridiculous as it forces the rest of the company to be given even more workloads. Instead of hiring more staff they will give you more tasks which will have you working longer hours and unpaid overtime. Even worse they will rotate tasks excessively meaning you will struggle to learn them and then forget them whilst learning new ones and so on. They try to be innovative but fail to take good care of their staff. I'm very dissapointed with this company and would not recommend anyone to work in this awful and toxic environment. I will be giving my notice soon and would advise others to do the same unless the company decides to make improvements.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
