Over time, the company has moved away from a lot of the things that originally made HealthTrackRx a great place to work.
Several decisions have felt like steps backward rather than forward. There have been multiple rounds of panel cuts, including removing panels clinics actually liked and used, which has made it harder to keep business and win competitive accounts.
Compensation changes happen frequently, often every six months and sometimes mid-year, which creates a lot of uncertainty. The earning potential that once existed for top reps is no longer realistic. Quotas continue to increase while pay per sample has dropped significantly year over year, putting more pressure on reps while taking away upside.
The culture has changed. I was here for 4+ years and experienced the rise when people were happy, supported, and making good money.
That environment doesn't exist anymore. A lot of changes feel abrupt, and there's an expectation that "top performers will push through" regardless of how much the job has changed.
UTI testing has been a challenge and is unreliable. I personally had clinics lose trust after seeing negative results with HealthTrackRx and positives with competitors, which led to lost accounts. I didn't see the same issue with other panels, but UTls are the most common infection and clinics straight up lost trust in our testing because of them. PCR as a whole is facing headwinds. Insurance companies are reimbursing less, and there's growing skepticism across the industry. Many of the ongoing comp plan changes feel like reactions to those pressures rather than long-term strategy.
Managers are under a lot of stress. Many are stuck in the middle trying to keep reps motivated while also enforcing decisions that negatively impact their teams. Morale and retention have taken a hit as a result.
The customer service team was laid off and much of that workload was pushed onto field teams. This has created backlogs and made service slower and less reliable than it used to be. A lot of accomplished, successful reps and regional leaders/managers have left or are actively looking as of March 2026. That alone says a lot.
Lastly, looking at these reviews, there are fake reviews to boost numbers. We never had a rep in Alaska the 4+ years I was here, yet there is a review from one.
