I have been working at ICON full-time (More than a year)
Pros
- Passionate employees about their work
- Benefits are decent (i.e. private pension scheme, and private healthcare)
- Room for development
Cons
- Not the most competitive with salaries in the industry
- No transparency regarding roles and salaries
Advice to Management
Be more open regarding salaries; it's very off-putting and unfair when you find out you're getting paid a lot less than someone who is doing the same work.
I have been working at ICON full-time (More than a year)
Pros
Flexible working (easy to WFH), good work/life balance (normal work hours 99% of the time) and supportive managers. In addition, I find if you perform well and are patient you are given responsibilities (such as project lead).
Cons
Only small increases in salary, there does not seem to be much stability in the teams - the team I am working in has had multiple staff moved to various other teams many times this year.
Advice to Management
Try to keep team changes to a minimum as it is difficult to build a strong working relationship with team members if they are moved to a different team every few months.
I worked at ICON full-time
Pros
There are good benefits - vacation, health, pension etc.
The work is Interesting and varied.
There are flexible working hours/work from home etc.
Cons
There are constant reorganizations which are not communicated to staff effectively. There is a lack of investment in people which leads to a lack of employee loyalty to company and can lead to bad morale in certain departments.
Advice to Management
Encourage more bottom up thinking - employees are more than just a number on the balance sheet and a drain on the budget.

central london office
Cons
long hours
poor culture of expecting you to be at your desk, and feeling judged if leaving before 6:30pm
Under staffed and over stretched. E.g. on bank holiday weeks, you would still be expected to do your full time hours, just in 4 days. Poor resource management
