Pros

Location is good for those nearby.

Cons

Owner doesn't see reality. She admits that she hates technology but at the same time runs a technology company. As a result she forces decisions that do not make sense in today's technology landscape and refuses external suggestions from her team that other technology business have implemented and found success in. She is too stuck on "how things used to be", "we've never done it that way before" and her own personal life and it's drama (which she drags into the workplace, if she ever decides to show up). She blames everyone else other than herself when things go wrong, even yelling at staff at times. If you need a job it's OK but dont stop looking even if you get hired. I am surprised the business hasn't crumbled yet. Pay is also below the 10th percentile for the area.

The comment in this review stating the owner admits she hates technology is false and taken out of context. ITS is pleased to be a thriving employer with a stable and long track record and will continue to do so.

Pros

Good for work experience, not the best since its heavily revolved around their VoIP platform(s). Microsoft admin experience, ticketing system, Remote access, etc. IT Manager was helpful when in need, good advice, wisdom and can be laid back/strict at the same time which is a great balance Employees were friendly & definitely work hard beyond means You get a nice chair if you work in the IT department

Cons

Advice for the new techs. You are going to make mistakes... and that is okay.. but not to upper management. (owner & her son) Management overcriticizes work when things go south and REALLY dig it in with the finger pointing for a failure with no real resolution. They'll have meetings and you can definitely hear them talking about you. Not discreet at all. Toxic environment and once you're on the **** list, you don't get out. They don't really train you, I had to ask my co workers a lot of questions just to somewhat feel competent. The customer satisfaction reviews you get, DO NOT mean a single thing for the employee.. unless you like patting yourself on the back. Do not expect a raise.. your accomplishments won't mean a thing here and your value as an employee is below the bar. They'll look at your mistakes first and foremost and use it as an excuse. Get the experience and go if you don't get a raise after 6-12 months. There's definitely better stuff out there that is less stressful and pays more.

Thank you for your review, the candid and transparent feedback is extremely helpful and much appreciated. It’s nice to hear you obtained good work experience during your tenure at ITS regardless of the training and found your manager supportive and helpful. Culture at ITS is a critical component and while we also take pride in our environment and workplace facilities, knowing premium comfortable chairs, as an example, is great feedback too! As a small business, we do wish to have better resources for proactive training, especially with technicians such as yourself. As we strive to create a culture of teamwork and open-door policy, employees do rely on the support of them to get through the day to day. And I agree, training is so important, and I do find at times the unique daily situations are sometimes hard to anticipate. We hope to continue improving in this area. Mistakes are tough, tough for employees and tough for management. And yes, you are right, we are human, and mistakes not only happen but sometimes are out of our control. In 33 years of business, our success is centered around few errors and omissions with diligent and accurate employees, which drives our low attrition and successful ratings and reviews with customer satisfaction. It is imperative for our success, the support of all team members and employee growth, alongside the continued growth of the company - whom employees rely on for their livelihood. Customer satisfaction is a priority, employee satisfaction is equally a priority. I am deeply sorry you felt slighted, and I am ashamed to hear you were called out unfairly and unprofessionally for your errors. It is not professional nor does exbibit the leadership we desire or the culture of the business that we all come to rely and depend on. Again, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and a review. I find this valuable information much more thorough than an exit interview and certainly coming from the heart. Wishing you the best in your future endeavors. Most sincerely, Sharon Woods CEO

Inexperienced and very toxic ownership

Pros

Most of the employees are friendly and hard-working.

Cons

ITS is basically a mom-and-pop shop. Correction mom-and-son shop lacking leadership and management skills quickly pointing fingers and blaming others for their constant failures creating a very toxic environment. They cannot do their own self-appointed positions and try to meddle in other departments with la ack of trust. If they decide to come into the office, they are usually the last to come in and the first to leave by a good hour or two. The unfortunate employees have to deal with a lack of training, constant ownership criticisms, layoffs, and being short, or for this year, not paid sales commissions.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. We too are very disappointed the sales position didn’t work out, as the company invests considerably in employees - such things as relocation bonuses and even in some cases, advanced commission for 12 of the 15 months employed. Unfortunately, when only 10% of the quota is achieved, hard changes are inevitable. As with all companies, sales’ primary job responsibility is the contribution to revenue, and when it is evident within 90 days of the 1-year mark that this isn’t achievable, it’s a lose-lose situation and the employee is not the right fit. Commission is paid when earned and like I have always said; ‘sales should be the highest paid in the company’, and over the years, this has proven fruitful. It is difficult for both the company and the former employee when things don’t work out and we deeply appreciate the time and effort the employee made during their tenure. ITS understands it is not easy when people are terminated, which may have motivated this gross review with a one-star rating. As we all do our best every day to support our customers and employees, this review appears to be a stab and very personal while not an accurate reflection of the management or leadership of the business. I have been with ITS for 33 years and the President/CEO for 22 years. This solid track record certainly has proven to provide a consistent and reliable company where employees are motivated and inspired to thrive while enjoying the benefits of a stable livelihood, as well as a healthy work/life balance. I invited my son to join the business 4 years ago, and I was thrilled and honored he did. As a graduate from Stanford University specializing in design as a Mechanical Engineer, he brings ability, knowledge, and strength to the business while he is enjoyable and fun to work with. He certainly has learned much in business and will continue to develop his skills and knowledge. As he works closely with the management team, thinking outside the box, and looking at ways to improve; I’m pretty sure he will also do as I did, observe extensively from predecessors. There is always room for development, and we embrace the need to learn and grow every single day. Culture and an inspiring work environment are at the core of what we do, while maintaining high ethical standards and our solid commitment to employees and community. Again, thank you for your feedback and I am very sorry your experience at ITS was so far below par. Wishing you and yours the best. Sincerely, Sharon Woods CEO
