Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Modulr full-time for more than a year
Pros
Some good teammates Profitable business that generates money for management
Cons
Personally I have assisted in a meeting where the management that was there 80% for just 6 months have announced us that our bonus will be cut by 75% meanwhile theirs will be DOUBLED. This is the worst humiliation I have assisted in my professional career. The original founders were a team that build together at least 3 startups. However at this one, years longs friendship have been ruined. Life long friendship ruined because of a startup. Management has been changed more often than socks and there is a general sentiment of uncertainty lurking in the office. People from management fired on the spot simply for not agreeing with the higher ups.

Pros
Modulr has a great range of products in the payments space and have serve some of the largest fintech startups in the UK.
Cons
The atmosphere is poisonous and some of the reviews do not surprise me at all. Modulr portrays a certain culture but this cannot be further from the truth. You could argue that due to the fast growth and the changing environment that the toxicity was to be expected. In reality this business is operated by inexperienced managers and the sycophantic behavior is off the scale. Many loyal members of staff have left the business and I see that this trend has continued. CTO, CMO, Change in CRO, CPO, Heads of Product, Heads of Onboarding, Sales, Marketing, Product, Developers, the list is endless. The product roadmap is like trying to administer medicine to the dead. The biggest issue is the inability to onboard customers properly. Its quite frankly comical and bewildering to witness such nonsense when most of the competitors have nailed the process. For anyone thinking about joining this business please think very carefully as it has affected my confidence, trust and general thoughts about my future career goals. It has taken me some time to recover from what was a truly draining experience working for this company.

Pros
I'm struggling to find may positives at the moment but there are some great people in the ranks. I have made some good friends.
Cons
1. Chief People Officer - Gone 2. Chief Marketing Officer - Gone 3. Product Team - Multiple senior resignations 4. Resignations across the business in most departments The business is losing people hand over foot due to the absolute calamity that happens literally on a daily basis. It feels like there is no real plan. They are trying to fix past mistakes and then making more mistakes in the process. There is new people in senior positions almost every month and its causing confusion. Staff literally want out to the levels where people are genuinely super stressed. I am in multiple private messaging groups where people are openly talking about how bad this company actually is. It really has reached rock bottom now. Big mistake on my part joining Modulr. I was sold the dream and it turned out to be a nightmare.
