Pros

A brilliantly driven business with an engaging and open senior leadership team, no ivory towers here and a business that career hungry, driven and talented individuals can thrive in. A rewarding environment where employees can earn good money and get the career recognition they deserve. Spending your working day with like minded people all working towards the same goals. Usual myths defied also; plenty of training, from the start and on-going, an excellent learning and development team, consultants are given the time and tools to succeed and it can be a fun place to work.

Cons

Provided you like to work hard, there aren't any!

Pros

I have number worked in recruitment before and after meeting Michael Page I was convinced to that this was a role I could not over look. Once I began the training was excellent, the support from colleagues and Management / Directors was incredible. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and would always help you when you needed it. As I have developed in the role hard work pays off. Promotion targets are clear and once you hit these you are prompted and the next target is put in front of you. All of the senior directors, senior management and even the CEO started as a recruitment consultant, evidencing this. The culture is great, not only do you work hard but you play hard too. Achievements are always celebrated properly and you are always congratulated when you do well. Their is no other recruitment company I would work for, I would always recommend to a friend and my advice would be to stick at it as your rewards will come as I have witnessed first hand.

Cons

- Long hours - Recruitment can be very up and down. Having a strong can do attitude is vital

Pros

After reading previous reviews, I thought it fair to tell the other side of the page story. The basic is better than the majority of recruitment firms. Guess what, if you make money you get money, if you don't, recruitment isn't for you. That's not a bad thing.. It isn't for everyone. Guess what else, if you don't bill your manager may look into stats to see where we are going wrong. If KPI's scare you recruitment isn't for you. I have been with the company for 2 years in the UK and have been supported throughout my time there. I have been promoted twice probably because I like KPI's and as a result I make money... Recruitment must be for me. I've had a couple of months where I haven't hit target, but at no point did I feel insecure. If you want a job there are many firms to choose from. If you want a career you come to Page. However... It's a business so you have to make money... Like all businesses that stay in business.

Cons

If you are starting a new market eg in the US or new sector, it's hard work. However the opportunities are bigger and more frequent. with growth comes opportunity. You are essentially your own business with corporate backing. There is a lot of pressure when you run your own business. Better your manager telling you how it is then your bank manager telling you that you are bankrupt.
