Pros

Great people and office culture, good benefit, powerful brand. Solid value proposition in some industries. Supportive environment.

Cons

Slow like a big corporate, but immature like a young company. Decision making, product upgrades and real innovation is slow. Maturity of best practices, effectiveness, methodologies is low.

Pros

Great workplace environment. Numerous perks and a real sense that the company cares about employee wellness. Regular company-wide updates, UK level all hands and events build a real sense of community.

Cons

Very top heavy, few entry level positions and no way to progress up the company from graduate level. Experience must be gained elsewhere to be in a position to take a non-intern role.

Pros

- nice culture - good benefits - ample vacation time (London based employee) - strong family values - open door to management - opportunity to distinguish yourself and make an impact if you're willing to work hard, drive change and produce creative solutions to problems

Cons

- not great at promoting top performers (they seem to subject everyone to the same 2 year promotion process regardless of how good they are). - legacy of A* performers leaving because change is too slow / frustrating. in turn C players tend to stick around and get promoted by default. - siloed environment - not a lot of true cross functional collaboration - marketing is only just becoming more consumer oriented. professionals tend to be uncreative and unhelpful and supporting anything outside of their core agenda. - product has to do SJ's bidding. very little regional control or resource to support new ideas that might move the needle. - slow to get anything done
