Getting Better

Pros

-Excellent work life balance that is drastically improved over the last couple of years. Managers are very supportive of taking PTO when needed and encourage you to take advantage of the flexible PTO. The pressure to work outside of normal business hours and on weekends is also drastically reduced for consultants. -There is good transparency from department heads and C-suite regarding business performance and outlook. -Recent acquisitions and global expansion have obviously brought logistical challenges but overall have made a positive impact with increased global market share and the variety of work we can take on.

Cons

-Comp could definitely be better. Benefits are decent but salary definitely lags behind competitors especially in the consulting branch. Could pretty easily get a 15-20% increase with a lateral move to a competitor. -Departments can feel very siloed. This is true from product to product as well as functional departments within each product. Product teams and functional branches that should be talking to each other often are not so that can sometimes lead to getting blindsided with requirements, changes, or requests that come out of nowhere.

GREAT PLACE TO WORK!

Pros

Wealth of knowledge from the Sr. and Manager Analysts Training Unlimited PTO

Cons

Not necessarily a con, but it's easy to feel lost at times with all the products we have to offer. Nonetheless, there's always an SME you can ask to get more knowledge on the product (db tables, front end application, etc.) to get your tasks completed.

Pros

Unlimited PTO is awesome. The people are wonderful and we build meaningful working relationships. Upper management is actively looking for ways to improve as an employer and actually doing something about it instead of just letting employees complain. Yearly hackathons that anyone in the company can participate in! With categories ranging from "No code / Low code solutions" all the way to rebuilding entire processes or screens.

Cons

For developers it's easy to stagnate. Unless you get onto one of the few technical teams, most of the development you do is business logic with Quorum built helper functions. Which don't help you grow your knowledge or skills if you ever have to leave. (except for that yearly hackathon)

Pros

The people are nice and I think the upper management makes an effort.

Cons

It's impossible to promote in some areas. Literally impossible. Other areas are critically understaffed. The rest of us are spread across many time zones and for a company so excited about collaboration, you'd think we'd reorganize to where teams were able to have more than a 2 hour overlap. Went from being fully remote to RTO about 3 years into employment. We did not get a pay increase for the sudden costs of commuting, parking, and other costs of working on-site. There's no psychological safety anymore. Many people lie on the pulse surveys because there are meetings that drill down to small groups where the managers ask why people gave certain ratings. We coordinate answers now so that there are no outliers. The company policies are confusing at times, particularly when it comes to PTO and sick leave. Do not contact HR for clarification because it will lead to your manager being called and a formal meeting being set up, which is scary. I thought I was being fired for asking a question.
