I worked at Randstad full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great training programme and great place to spend the first 1-2 years of your recruitment career.

    Cons

Salaries are well below industry average. Commission schemes are also well below industry average. No consideration for work - life balance Everything is not as it seems when you are sold the dream. Be very very careful

    Advice to Management

Have a real look at what is actually happening there. Consultants feel bullied but don’t have faith in management to raise it.

I worked at Randstad full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Working for the significant brand. People. No sales (in-house division) Independence in day to day activities. Variety of accounts to look after for the more ambitious individuals.

    Cons

Low pay and inconsistent salary levels within the same function. Poor retention internally and expectation from longer serving employees to baby sit new staff with management being rarely involved. Limited opportunities to progress.

    Advice to Management

Business should concentrate on people as a main value. Your struggle to hire is related to poor treatment of the current and former employees and with current transparency created by social media, this becomes extremely visible.
