Pros

There are pockets of good people within the organisation (if you make the click), but overall the experience will depend entirely on the team you end up in.

Cons

Internal processes are not applied consistently, and there is a lack of clarity around expectations, support, and development. Performance procedures do not follow policy in a structured or transparent way, and employees often feel unsupported when raising concerns. Communication between teams is inconsistent, and opportunities are not always shared evenly. Cultural awareness and sensitivity could be improved, and there are occasions where professional boundaries become blurred and unclear. The overall management style in some areas can feel driven more by fear than constructive leadership. Although commission is described as uncapped, employees may find that securing payment requires significant escalation.

Pros

SCC has a strong foundation built on long-standing customer relationships, experienced people and genuine technical capability across the business. There is real opportunity to make an impact, particularly for individuals who are proactive, customer-focused and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment. The scale and breadth of the organisation provides exposure to major enterprise customers, complex projects and evolving technologies, while still allowing individuals to influence outcomes and drive change. There is also a growing focus on simplification, collaboration and improving the overall customer and employee experience, which creates positive momentum across the business.

Cons

As with many long-established organisations of this size, there are areas where processes, communication and ways of working continue to evolve. The pace of change and transformation can create periods of ambiguity, particularly as the business simplifies structures and modernises how teams operate together. Expectations can be high and the environment can move quickly, which suits people who enjoy ownership and adaptability, but may be challenging for those looking for a more structured or slower-paced culture. That said, the willingness to recognise these areas and continue improving them is increasingly visible across the organisation
