Pros
Lots of flexibility for personal growth in the right roles. Ability to shape own role by growing skill sets. But this can be a catch 22 when they rely on you to do too much because they won’t hire a specialist in a specific area. Pay overall is good but you are expected to be a generalist and pick up the slack in deficit areas.
Cons
Company overall has fallen into decline since share float. Staff aren’t valued as they once were. Senior leaders are traditional and unable to adapt to changing modern markets and invest. Also reflective in constant contract changes from remote to hybrid so they can monitor staffs performance through apparent better cooperation. Over reliance on call centres and print over digital. Lots of championing for diversity and inclusion from individuals in those groups but not really reflected by senior leadership. Repeated bi-yearly redundancies across business areas. It’s quite obvious leadership is desperate to try and appease shareholders and not taking stock of the negative impact of their decision making to the business and staff overall.
