True story: Imagine you started a few weeks ago, you’re already working on several projects including with external partners. You have a good rapport with your supervisor who is a C-Suite leader. One morning, a few days before BFCM, your Slack stops working and you realize you’re logged out of everything. You reach out to your manager who has no idea what’s going on. The manager reaches out to the CEO who explains that you’ve been fired (without your manager knowing about it or getting to weigh in on it). Fast forward a couple months, and the C-Suite leader got fired as well. What it comes down to, mainly, is that the CEO needs to have his fingers in everything. Despite no experience as a tech startup CEO, he believes he knows everything better than anyone else, which creates a toxic atmosphere. Avoid at all costs.
I’ve also seen with my own eyes (and heard from ex-employees) that ThriveCart pays lawyers to get negative reviews taken down. So we’ll see how long this one will last.
