Little Wings is the story of a lonesome swallow’s adventure to guide carol singers to a family in need of renewed hope, brought to life in handcrafted 2D animation and accompanied by the Shchedryk melody. Mariia and Rodion Shub, two Ukrainians temporarily displaced to the UK and Canada used a combination of traditional painting and drawing methods with digital techniques to craft every element of Little Wings to bring a gift of hope to the world.
In honour of GoFundMe’s Year In Help, AKQA’s San Francisco studio collaborated with AI artist Paul Trillo to create a revolutionary way of telling stories. Using a unique combination of AI technologies, a community street mural was brought to life, weaving together different stories from 2022. Each scene depicts a real-life GoFundMe cause, from rescuing pets from Hurricane Ian in Florida, to helping displaced refugees from Ukraine.
