We recently caught up with Rachel, a Data Scientist who has worked at Boots UK for 2 and a half years. Rachel began her journey at Boots as an Operations Assistant, before becoming a Data Scientist at Walgreens Boots Alliance and working with teams such as Marketing for Change, which aims to ensure we put diversity, equity and inclusion at the forefront of everything we do.

Throughout the pandemic, front line workers have been outstanding, working tirelessly and selflessly to support the nation. This #InternationalWomensDay, we want to recognise in particular the contribution that female frontline workers have made to this effort. This film pays tribute to women working in the NHS and in roles across the #healthcare frontline. Pharmacists, nurses, occupational therapists, midwives and care home workers are among those reading the messages of thanks sent by members of the public and colleagues whose lives have been touched by their contribution.

As a long-standing supporter of the Ban the Box campaign, we are proud to be celebrating the opening of one million job roles in UK businesses to people with convictions. Launched in 2013 by Business in the Community, the Ban the Box campaign asks employers to remove the criminal offenses tick box from the first stage of applications; a ticked box often means an automatic rejection, regardless of the offence or the job.
