Some exciting news about Depop’s next chapter! Etsy and eBay have entered into an agreement for eBay to acquire Depop. Subject to the satisfaction of certain closing conditions and receipt of required regulatory approvals, we currently expect the acquisition to close in the second quarter of 2026. We’re incredibly grateful to Etsy for their partnership and support in advancing our business and mission to make fashion circular. Together, we have grown the Depop community, evolved our product experience and further strengthened a brand anchored in self-expression, culture, great value fashion, and economic opportunity for our sellers. Importantly, once the transaction closes, Depop will operate as a standalone business unit within eBay’s C2C business, led by our existing team. Our brand, culture, product experience and community will remain central to who we are. With eBay’s global reach and capabilities – including financial services, shipping solutions, Authenticity Guarantee, and expanded inventory visibility through cross-listing – we’ll be able to enhance the buyer and seller experience while accelerating our long-term ambition. We look forward to the future with eBay, while continuing to deliver meaningful impact for our buyers, sellers and employees. Read more on our Newsroom: https://news.depop.com/

To wrap up an incredible year, we brought all our teams together for our ‘Depop Delivered 2025’ event at London’s iconic Ministry of Sound nightclub to celebrate everything we’ve achieved – and more importantly, the people who made it happen ♥️ From a mega All-Hands and our Top of Depops employee awards, to food, drinks, dancing, a live band, and sets from our very own Depop DJs, it was a proper celebration of creativity, community, and connection. Seeing our growing team relaxing and dancing together all in one space was something special. Huge thank you to every single person across Depop for your passion, hard work, and contribution this year, and to our mission to make fashion circular. We’re so proud of what we’ve built together, and even more excited to do it all over again in 2026 🚀 Until then, here’s a little look back at the night 👇✨ 📹 by Alina Travis

✨ CX Day 2025 at Depop HQ ✨ Last month, our Customer Experience team came together at Depop HQ in London for CX Day - a dedicated day to celebrate, connect, and collaborate as one team. 💫 The day featured panel discussions, workshops, and team-building sessions focused on strengthening how we work together and deliver exceptional experiences for our community. We also recognised our top-performing agents for their ongoing dedication and impact. A highlight was a fireside chat with Ellie and Ash from Sweatstash - one of Depop’s leading Top Seller shops - who shared their inspiring journey and insights into the seller experience on our platform. Their perspective offered valuable takeaways on how we can continue to support and empower our sellers. Another standout moment was the Product Team Takeover, where CX agents collaborated with product colleagues to explore key improvement areas and share insights that will shape product experiences in 2026. This cross-team collaboration sparked meaningful conversations about how we can continue to evolve Depop’s user experience together. Our CX team travelled from across the UK, bringing incredible energy that carried through to a fun team social at Bounce - the perfect way to round off an inspiring day! 🏓💙 Here’s to staying connected, learning from one another, and continuing to deliver the best possible experience for our community.
The future of fashion is circular - and it’s already happening. We’re proud to have contributed to Customer-Centric Growth: A Playbook for Scaling Repair and Resale in Fashion from the British Fashion Council’s Institute of Positive Fashion and Clarasys. The playbook explores how the industry can make circular fashion mainstream - and at Depop, that’s exactly what we’re working towards. Our community-powered model makes it easy and exciting for anyone to take part: to discover great fashion for themselves, their friends and their families - because it feels good, is simple to do, and makes sense. Designed to help brands scale their circular propositions, the playbook shares practical insights and examples from across the industry on how to make repair and resale part of the fashion eco-system. At Depop, we’re continuing to make resale easy, accessible and inspiring - from no selling fees and AI tools that simplify listing, to partner integrations that help brands and sellers connect directly to our global marketplace through our API. Resale isn’t just about sustainability - it’s smart, scalable and shaping the future of fashion. Big thanks to the BFC, Clarasys and all the partners who helped make this guide happen. 👉 If you're an enterprise seller, business or brands interested in our Depop Selling API, contact business@depop.com or message us directly via LinkedIn.
