This October, the Black@Depop ERG brought communities together to celebrate the richness of Afro-Caribbean cultures and create meaningful moments of reflection. Shout out to Art by Nadia Lamaani for hosting an intimate life drawing class, featuring Tajorn “Jazz” Brown, which offered far more than artistic inspiration - it invited the group to explore purpose, meaning, and the ways creativity can express identity. 💫 Naturally, we had to bring back our Ultimate Black Pub Quiz at our monthly Vibes@5, with OBE 380 keeping the energy high with an Afrohouse DJ set. A huge thank you to our vendors - Gebeta Ethiopian Kitchen, 2 Nigerian Boys, and Jamaica Patty Co. for an amazing spread and Chef Mo for keeping the rum punch and virgin cocktails flowing. 🎥 📸 Everything Rich #BlackAtDepop #StandingFirmInPowerAndPride

At Depop, we’re all about celebrating the moments that matter - the cultural movements that shape who we are and the voices that drive real change, all year round. This October, our Black@Depop Employee Resource Group set out to spark innovation, creativity, and knowledge across the community. They put together a lineup of powerful sessions packed with insights, practical tools, and inspiration to help the community grow both personally and professionally. Every moment was about amplifying Black voices and stories that encourage change, so we can keep learning, evolving, and making a positive impact inside and outside of work. We were lucky enough to hear from two incredible industry professionals who dropped some serious gems: 💫 Fenton Cayless, founder of CameThru, shared his journey from Project Manager at Capgemini to building his own AI-powered networking platform. 💫 Tayo Oguntonade, founder of BrickzWithTipz, led an engaging session on how to level up your property game as well as building financial confidence. Each session left us inspired and ready to take action! A huge shoutout to our Black@Depop leads; Kendal Jay A., Khadra Aden, Asha Abukar, Morgan Thorne and Salieu Jallow for curating such meaningful experiences and continuing to build an inclusive, creative space where everyone can thrive 🤎

✨ Throwback to Depop's Community Experience Day ✨ Although our Customer Experience team is spread across the country, we make it a priority to come together in person to connect, celebrate, and grow as a team. So in June, Depop's CX team gathered at the London HQ for the annual CX Day — a day to 'Recharge, Reflect & Reimagine'. From team building and networking, to celebrating the amazing work our CX team does every day, it was a chance to connect beyond our screens, with plenty of opportunities to strengthen the bonds that power our community. A highlight of the day was the Seller Speaker Session, where one of our Depop sellers joined us for a conversation with CX Agent, Remi Rose. Hearing first-hand experiences from our community was an inspiring reminder of the impact our work has. Wrapping things up with time to socialise was the perfect way to celebrate the people who make Depop’s CX team so special. 💙 Here’s to staying connected, no matter the distance!
We recently celebrated our US journey with a Desert Revival–inspired summer party, celebrating the creativity, connection, and culture that define Depop. From a retro selfie station, to a Depop rail curated by Rokit Vintage and Beyond Retro, garden games, and hands-on craft sessions (yes crotchet keyrings were a hit 🧶). Thanks to the Sunken Garden for having us and to our food vendors Patty’s Patties, Utter Waffle and Arnabeet. To top it off, we kept the energy and vibes going all day with a DJ line up curated by Richard Ishmail featuring sets from K3, EllaDHC, Obe380, S Fly, Via Seri, and hosted by Terminal 4 🎤 A big thank you to everyone who made this celebration so memorable and to the people behind Depop who make all of this possible 💜 🎥 by Everything Rich
This month we unveiled our most ambitious US Campaign to Date, Where Taste Recognizes Taste. It flips the narrative on secondhand shopping by spotlighting the emotional spark that happens when someone, somewhere, just gets your style. Created in partnership with Uncommon Creative Studio, the campaign taps into the quiet thrill of being seen - that universal feeling when someone likes what you like. Whether you're selling a vintage Prada coat as part of your side hustle or buying a pair of perfectly worn-in sneakers, Depop proves there's always someone out there who shares your taste - even if they look nothing like you. At the heart of the campaign is the idea of the “Depoppelganger” - a vehicle to evangelise Depop’s mission for everyone to discover the joy of resale: two people, worlds apart, brought together by a shared sense of style. It’s a celebration of unexpected connection - where shoppers and sellers aren’t just transacting, they’re vibing. A big shout out to all of the teams involved with getting such an incredible campaign live.
