As part of LGBTQ+ History Month, Savills has been celebrating places of cultural and historic significance for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer community across the UK. Each week in February, the Savills LGBTQ+ Group explored the history of a different location. Members of the group shared what these places mean to them, and to the wider LGBTQ+ community.
Savills recently supported the launch of the Rethink Food Academy at the White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds. The Savills Socio Economic Group is proud to continue supporting Rethink Food as it provides high-quality food education in support of long-term food security. Alison Mennecier, Sara Gough and Georgina Sweeting of Savills attended the launch on 17 February. The Academy provides a space for the Rethink Food team to engage with the community and to create exciting new educational content. We are delighted to continue our partnership with Rethink Food and to support their pursuit of long-term food security. #rethinkfood
The 15th annual National Apprenticeship Week is drawing to a close. The theme this year was 'build the future', which sums up what apprenticeships do for individuals, businesses and the wider economy. This has been a big week for apprentices at Savills; we recently welcomed our 100th apprentice and our residential apprentices had their first day in the office on Monday 7th January. To celebrate a successful National Apprenticeship Week, we spoke to people at various stages of their apprenticeship about why they chose this route into real estate and what 'build the future' means to them. Our Apprenticeship Programme applications are now live! Learn more at the link below.
May this New Year be filled with happiness, prosperity, and many precious moments with your loved ones. Happy Lunar New Year 2022 from Savills.
