Saturday 1st July marked PRIDE in London, with 35,000 people marching together to support the LGBTQIA+ community 🏳️🌈 70 employees from Veolia took part in this year's march and showcased the Veolia Marches Together campaign for Pride 2023. Colourful shoe prints created by our people were displayed in a vibrant pattern on our vehicles to symbolise the diversity and unity of Pride. After the parade, crews from our partnership with City of Westminster took to the streets of London to ensure they were clean and that litter was disposed of sustainably. By supporting the LGBTQIA+ community in this way, we are demonstrating our commitment to equal opportunities for all, and our Veolia value of respect 🏳🌈
Last week, we celebrated Purpose and Values week. Throughout the week, everyone was encouraged to reflect on our purpose of Ecological Transformation, their impact, and how we can all live our values every day. 🌍 As part of this week, all sites were invited to hold their annual Social Wellbeing Day, allowing everyone to spend time together away from their work. This day included plenty of good food, engaging activities and opportunities to connect with each other. 🤩

We hope you have enjoyed celebrating the Coronation of HRH King Charles III over the weekend! 👑 Our crews in London were on hand to clean up and managed to return the streets along the procession route to a clean and tidy state by Saturday evening, ready for the roads to re-open. For this event, we used more electric vehicles than ever before to reduce our environmental impact. Well done to all of our colleagues for your hard work and teamwork over the weekend!
