What is the feeling of job security at Nationwide Building Society?

Job security and the office facilities are very comfortable.

Hard to move about departments and felt I was judges when applying for different roles that I was over qualifies for because of tattoos.

Great pension scheme and holiday allowance

Job security feels less and less secure, year on year.

Good life-work balance pretty nice colleagues

Stuck in the 1990s with process hell run by people who couldn't get a job elsewhere, so they come up with nonsense to prevent them from getting made redundant. Constant threat of having your job handed off to offshore contractors to increase short term profits

The people there are some of the best I’ve ever met. I experienced some great leaders in my multiple years at the company too.

Severe office politics. If your face didn’t fit what they wanted, you’d be screwed. There were regular occasions where people would just be given job roles without interviewing and they always had their loopholes. They also massively underpay their staff and I was told that I was earning less than the average for my role (with 9 years experience) but they had no intention of increasing my salary despite always being the top performer of the team.
