I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2020
Interview
Applied via internal referral. Initial contact from recruiter took 4-5 days (after my follow-up). Initial phones screen was scheduled, then cancelled, then repurposed to a "2nd round phone interview". 2nd round phone interview was a no-show (by interviewer) and had to be rescheduled 5 days later. Once moved on to in-person, prep call was provided by recruiter to give compensation details and interview advice. I also learned during this call that a writing assignment was supposed to be completed. This was the first I'd heard of it so the recruiter apologized and asked if I could complete it ASAP. In-person interview was 9am - 3pm (5 interviews and a lunch) and solely consisted of behavioral-type questions. Hiring Manager was "totally advocating for [me]" and was "very excited to get [me] onboard". A 30-minute follow up call was scheduled a week later with interviewer #2 from my in-person cycle. Asked similar questions to the in-person interview and was very curt. I was notified within an hour that I was not selected.
Overall, very disorganized (cancellations, no-shows, assignment miscommunication) and felt confusing as I was receiving mixed signals (hiring manager wanted to hire me, "other" interviewer didn't). Long process and lots of preparation required yet "company policy" is to not provide any feedback so I'm left with having no idea why I wasn't selected.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to make an urgent decision without data. What was the impact and would you do anything different?
Did a test task and was called by HR almost immediately for the next round. But salary range (full packet with stock and benefits) and return to office policy did nit much my expectations
very standard. the interviewers had a set of questions to ask about the LPs so we can anticipate beforehand. But I think I got ghosted in the end. One of the interviewers told me about the 2 & 5 rule but its been more than 2 weeks since my last interview and still no response from anyone so idk what happened.
Lengthy, messy schedule, interviews canceled last minute, interviewer late. Rude, disrespectful and dismissive approach toward candidate. Majority of people were from a different team so had no clue about the specifics of the position when asked in the final Q&A. If they treat you like this before joining, can’t imagine after. Application withdrawn.
