      Assistant Store Manager Interview

      21 Sept 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Los Angeles, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2021

      Interview

Two back to back interviews with different AM, based across the country. Format of interview: STAR It's a pretty straightforward process. They introduce themselves, you introduce yourself, and they ask you 2-3 behavioral based interview questions they expect you to answer in the STAR format. Many examples can be found online. They are interested in your experiences and will ask you to expand on your answers to get a feel for you. After that, you get a small break, and go through the same process with another AM. They talk it over, and decide if they want to continue with you through the hiring process.

      Interview

Longer interview process starting with a phone screening and then 3 separate interviews after the initial screening. Questions are set up in the star method but interview process is a little dated and question are repetitive and very much not based off the questions as much as the interview first impressions.
