      Senior Product Quality Engineer Interview

      9 Dec 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      North Reading, MA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (North Reading, MA) in Nov 2024

      Interview

Applied online. Email invite and Phone screen after 1 month. Loop interview invite after 2-3 weeks. Interview prep call in between. First Screening Interview by a peer on Chime with audio only. Loop Interviews. 5 people. 1 hr each on Chime video. 1 peer, 3 managers & 1 bar raiser. 4 questions each. Fully behavioral questions only. Star Method. Focus needs to be on business impact and customer result. Dollars, time, labor reduction/improvement are key. All leadership principles questions only. Prepare 4 examples for each LP. No joke. Sample questions given during prep call were asked. The second half of the questions are the real twist and are difficult to answer. Quality is not the first priority at Amazon *robotics*. Delivery is. Fail fast with risk assessment. Speed is more than automotive. Strong bias for action.
