It started with an in depth conversation on the phone with a Recruitment manager to understand more about the role and expectations, Discussed suitability of the role. The next stage was an assessment at a store with a number of other candidates with prep work of completing a SWOT of the store before hand. On the day the environment was relaxed and well planned, There were a total of five assessors and five candidates that all had there own discussion points, The assessors consisted of HR, Regional Coach and other senior managers. Each had a room or a table where you would take it in turns to discuss more about yourself and the role applied for, ask questions about the company and what it is like to work for and to really get a better understanding of how Dunelm operate. There was also a store walk with the regional coach to walk the store and showcase yourself and demonstrate how you operate and what your looking at when walking the store. I really enjoyed each section and you are always made to feel welcome and at ease. At the end they asked if anyone had any further questions and wrapped the session up with a promise of feedback the following week which was delivered.
