First step was the initial phone screen with recruiter, then one in person interview with multiple people, I believe it was two hours long. Questions were typical behavioral interview questions.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Stamford, CT) in Jun 2013
Interview
The first round is a phone interview with an internal recruiter in the Human Resource Department. Once they screen you for the job, your resume will be passed onto the hiring manager. Then you will speak with the hiring manager on the phone and you may be asked to speak with several different members of the team. Once you pass the phone interviews, you will be asked to come in for onsite interviews. It could be a 1:1 with the hiring manager or it could be with several members of the team 1:1. Interview length can be anywhere from 30-60 minutes. If you pass the 1:1 interviews, your final round with be with multiple interviewers. Typically, you will meet with a series of 3-4 in one day. Then the interviewers get together and do a "debrief" on whether to hire you or not. Once you do the final round interview, you will probably hear back within (5) business days.

Question 1
There are a number of personality questions. And then you will be asked to go in depth about your experience. It is very important to Gartner that you are a "cultural fit."
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Irving, TX) in May 2019
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter and had a phone screen with them. After the phone screen, I spoke on the phone with the hiring manager for about 45 minutes. They brought me onsite a week later, and I interviewed with 2 other recruiting coordinators, the hiring manager, the recruiting coordinator leads manager, and their manager. It took about 3 hours or so. At the end of the interview, the recruiter took me on a quick tour of the office and escorted me out. They called me about 2 days later to let me know they went with a different candidate.

Firstly recruiter does a telephonic interview to judge your communication skills , then finding a good communicator they forward you for a Face to Face interview process. After you clear the In-person interview , there were two more telephonic rounds with the Team lead and Manager of the department for which you were to be hired. (Only after repeated follow ups you would get to hear back from them.)
