      Account Executive Interview

      Anonymous employee
      Dublin, Dublin
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Google (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2025

      Interview

I recently went through the interview process for an Account Strategist role at Google (Dublin), and overall it was a well-structured and professional experience. The process consisted of several stages, including recruiter screening and multiple interview rounds. The timeline was not extremely fast, there were waiting periods between stages, especially after the final round, which can be a bit stressful if you are actively waiting for feedback. The interviews themselves were less about deep technical expertise and more focused on problem-solving, communication, and mindset. There was a strong emphasis on how you approach client situations, how you think through ambiguous problems, and how you structure your answers. Sales orientation and ability to drive business impact were clearly important. Interviewers were professional and generally supportive, but the bar is high. You are expected to be clear, structured, and concise in your answers. Preparation really matters, especially practicing structured responses and real-life examples. One thing to note is that feedback is limited. You do not get detailed insights into your performance, which is typical for large companies but still frustrating. Pros: Very structured and transparent process Professional and respectful interviewers Clear focus on skills that matter for the role Cons: Waiting time between stages can be long Limited feedback after interviews Can be mentally draining due to multiple rounds Advice to candidates: Prepare structured answers (for example using frameworks like STAR), focus on client-facing scenarios, and be ready to demonstrate both analytical thinking and communication skills. Also, be patient with timelines.

      Interview

They reached out to me via LinkedIn, and we scheduled an interview. The initial interview went well however, they did not get back to me afterward. I sent many emails, but they did not reply to any of them. It was extremely unprofessional.

      Interview

Not very personable. When I asked about salary expectations they lowballed and said there's no room for negotiation and that only managers make the salary I asked for (I was making it already as a non-manager)
