NPI Supply Chain Program Manager Interview

      11 Jul 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Sunnyvale, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Sunnyvale, CA) in Jun 2018

      Interview

I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter about 2 weeks later. There were 2 phone screens, first with the recruiter asking general questions about resume followed by a technical phone screen with a googler working on the same team. The onsite interview consisted of 4 interviews of 45 mins each and an informal lunch interview session. Overall the questions mainly focused on behavioral aspect and were open ended, the interviewer would throw in a situation like tell me about a time when... or how would you deal with... It was great experience to prepare and go through all the rounds. A week after the onsite interview, the recruiter scheduled a chat session and told me that the recommendation was not to move further without citing any specific reason.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Google in Oct 2018

      Interview

In the beginning HR do a simple background an qualification review. They are energetic and enthusiastic, compared to most of high-tech companies, they are have more understanding of the position and want hiring managers wants. Second interview is with hiring manager, was processing via hangout(with lots of fuzzy noise, and next job then they change to more strange phone interview. The requirements was not listed that needs to understand every detail proceeds of IC manufacturing, not just roughly, have to dive-into every steps, materials involved and direct material consumed. Although it’s a supply chain management position, but requires high expectations at technical knowledge. So I was eliminated. Interviewer is very polite and gentle, I leant I lot.
