I interviewed at ICON in late 2022/early 2023. The process included an initial screening, a team interview, and a presentation interview. The process took 8 weeks. For my final interview I was asked to create a presentation on a topic of their choice, which was a significant time investment. Then I heard nothing for two weeks, even after following up via email. When I did hear back, it was to say an offer was imminent. However, I was kept waiting for another two weeks with no communication. At this point, an offer was extended for a more junior role, not the role I had been interviewing for and for significantly less money than had been discussed in the initial screening. I was quite shocked at the low ball offer and declined on the spot. They put together a counter, however that took another month and was still for significantly less than I had initially been told in the screening. I don't know if this is typical practice for ICON, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. It was insulting and felt like they had wasted my time. It's not great business practice to advertise for high level roles to attract high quality candidates, then bait and switch at the final offer.
