Horrible Organization! Seems like no proper interview process is in place. They follow ghosting culture, and no proper feedback is provided. It's a waste of time. Avoid if possible!
I applied online and received a codility test. I aced it and had 2 screening rounds scheduled
1. Codility Round
2. Technical Screening (Coding + System Design)
3. HR/Team Compatibility round
After positive feedback from those rounds, I had 5 further rounds on a single day.
1. Coding + General Tech Discussion
2. System Design (HLD+LLD + Coding)
3. General Tech Discussion + System Design
4. Hiring Manager (Tech)
5. HR
I am highly confident that I did excellent in all of them. All the questions were average and easy to solve/answer, and interviewers seemed quite happy with answers. The HR said he would get back after a week. He started ghosting my messages. Didn't even give a feedback or a rejection mail.
intial call with recruiter and then a coding assessment test. coding was leetcode medium level questions. after that was a live coding interview. for approx 1 hour and then a systems design interview for designing a payment system.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Zalando (Berlin) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interviewer was looking desperately tired and unfocused. Didn't join the interview on time. I had to find someone else to ping him to join.
The questions were generic and related. However, it took 2 weeks for the interviewer to send the results of a basic questionnaire to move forward.
I was overall hugely disappointed with that.
