Mission: There are over 6,700 of us at O2. We’re all different but at the core, we are all the same, we love what we do - whether that's surprising our customers, providing them with support, or coming up with ideas for ‘the next big thing&rsquo ...
Research conducted by ourselves and the NSPCC has found that one in four young people have been contacted on social media by people they don't know. Book an appointment to speak to a #O2Guru about how to keep your child #SafeOnline. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQxKX
We’re really proud of our Career Returners Programme. We think it’s a great solution to help people enter back into the workplace and get back into the swing of things after an extended break. In fact, our Chief HR Officer and Chief of Staff, Ann's so proud of it that she opened our doors to Channel 4 to give them the inside track as we started up the third year of our programme. We’re more than just a network; we’re a way to live better with technology. We give our customers the best new tech on our award-winning network and it’s those very customers that shape us. We get to know them, how they use their mobile and listen to their feedback to give them more of what they want; and then some. And it’s the same with our employees. Because our people are our greatest asset, we’ll ensure you have all the knowledge, tools and support you need to excel, as well as rewards, perks, and personal development opportunities.
With over 6,700 of us at O2, we have a very unique and diverse employee base. We’re all different but at the core, we all love what we do - whether we’re surprising our customers, offering the best support, or coming up with ideas for ‘the next big thing’. With all kinds of career routes, maybe you’re exactly the talent we’re after – so take a deep breath, your career is about to go to exciting new places.
Our customers may think of us as just a mobile network, but there’s so much more going on behind the scenes that only our people get to see. We’ve all kinds of people in loads of different roles in our Stores up and down the UK, at our offices throughout the country and at our Head Office in Slough – everything from Retail, Customer Services, HR, Marketing, Finance, Digital, Legal and much more
We’re full of surprises at our Head Office, including freshly brewed Starbucks coffee, a canteen with restaurant-quality food, and even an in-house gym. There’s also scope to join our family via our parent company Telefónica and our partnership businesses Tesco Mobile and GiffGaff.
You can be the guide our customers need, whether it's online, on the phone or in store. Our retail team bring tech to life for our customers and help show them new and improved ways to shop, learn, play and talk. They fill our customer’s minds with new and exciting possibilities and showcase apps & services that transform how they use their devices. Every day is a chance to show our customers how they can live better with tech and to make every day better through personal experiences that count.
At O2 we want to change the face of retail. We want our stores to be an airy and cool place to be for our customers and our people. That’s why we created our Flagships, with stores in Manchester, Birmingham, and London, with more planned for the future.
At O2 we invest in the development of our people through our revolutionary learning platform O2 Campus. We’re setting the bar and offering our people digital and personalised learning they can’t get anywhere else in the industry. Creating personal learning experiences that count every day.
O2 Campus is a place where you can connect, learn and grow. It’s a whole new world of learning which helps us to continually develop our greatest asset which is our people
It also gives us flexible, exciting, personalised and purposeful learning which underpins our brilliant employee experience and creates a high performing culture that will help to see o2 into the future.
Available to everyone
O2 Campus offers something for everyone.
We have specialised content designed to help solve business challenges, we have our Academies that enable us to help support our business strategy and then we have our Core learning which is designed to help our people develop on a daily basis, be it learning around what it is like to work at o2, our products and propositions or self-development.
Wherever you work in O2 we have personalised digital learning experiences for everyone.
Giving you more
We want to develop our people by pushing them to their learning limits.
We have four Academies – leadership, marketing, technical and sales. Here we nurture our people with more specific skills, providing them with the most relevant role based learning and trusted training around. We don’t stop there. For our specialists in the business, that can be anything from apprentices, technicians to legal, they are all given the support they need through our specialised academy.
There truly is something for everyone on o2 Campus.
O2 Campus has partnered with some great companies such as Lynda.com, plural sight and M-pirical. This means we can offer our people access to their full online library of content, for free! So if you want to learn how to play the piano, write code or just brush up on some quick excel tips, it’s all there for you.
O2 Campus is there for both professional and personal development.

We told you we offer more. Here are just some of the special treats that will make your life better outside of work:
At O2 we won’t make you choose between your family and career. Life isn’t all about work, so we’ll help you enjoy the best of both worlds with a healthy work/life balance to ensure you won’t miss those special moments. We encourage our people to take up all kinds of flexible working options, such as:
• Working from different locations if the role allows
• Full or part-time hours
• Paid maternity, paternity & adoption leave
• Paid time out for fostering and fertility treatment
We also have a variety of family friendly policies. We even put on different family fun days too, with plenty of activities to keep the kids busy.
It’s a way of life here. It has to be. It takes all kinds of characters to help us think differently and meet the diverse needs of our customers.
We love having a diverse team of people who bring new ideas and different strengths and perspectives to the party. Techies. Leaders. Bold thinkers. Supreme organisers. We’re on a journey together. So, we all have the same opportunities to grow, succeed and be more. Working with and learning from people from all walks of life makes every day an adventure.
Passionate about diversity and inclusion, we treat everyone fairly and equally. You’ll be able to be yourself. And you’ll enjoy fair pay, equal prospects and individual career development. Not to mention flexible working and a healthy/work life balance. For our early careers, we’ve even started having ‘blind’ interviews to make sure we assess the person - not their CV!
Equality. Diversity. Inclusion. Fairness. This is how we roll. Whoever you are – O2 has a place for you.
Inclusive. Diverse. Proud.
25 million customers. 7,000 employees. Each one of us unique in our own way. O2’s LGBTQ network has been evolving this year, you will know us for our Pride events but at the same time as celebrating our diversity and inclusivity externally we’ve been reviewing our internal focus, objectives and plan for the year ahead. Our plan has a strong theme to be more diverse, more inclusive and continue to support our ‘everyone to bring their whole selves to work’ strategy. That’s why we are changing our name and now stand strong as Proud at O2.
We are Proud to be part of a company that has an open culture and people at the centre of our success but we still have work to do. Our plan will support everyone to be Proud of who they are and how they choose to identify. We want to reach out beyond our main offices and share our stories and support our people, friends or family members who wish to stand proud on their behalf. We are Proud at O2.
We see the Women's Network as a platform, a resource and a community for like-minded people (whatever your gender, background and race) to be empowered, together. We have a big focus on development, networking, family, inspiration and health and wellbeing.
We're very proud to support Step into STEM. A 7 month mentoring and work insight programme funded and supported by O2, BT, Vodafone and Ericsson to give female students access to professionals in science, technology, engineering & maths sectors.
We're a growing group of passionate people who believe that equality is best.
This year we’re looking to increase our footprint (and recruit more men), but for now we want to make sure that Network members feel supported and that we grow together.
We're also a champion member of the Social Mobility Business Compact, meaning we're dedicated to democratising access to opportunity and making sure everyone has the chance to fulfil their potential, whatever their background.

Not a con as such but it's a really fast paced environment and you need to be able to keep up.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at O2 (Slough, Berkshire, South East England, England) in August 2017.
I initially had a phone interview with the Senior HR Recruitment Advisor and they were extremely helpful. I then completed an online video interview which in comparison to other video interviews I have completed, this was by far the most relaxed one as they allow good amount of time to complete and even the option to record your answer the second time.
I was then accepted for a face to face interview with two of the HR managers and that was overall very relaxed however I did lack more of the knowledge they required from a HR Change employee and I had just graduated.
