Management just don't have the power to change things. They want to squeeze as much work into people to a point where people get stressed and frustrated and when raised, nothing gets done as the line manager usually gets no say and when raised higher up its not taken seriously and a 'tough, get on with it'approach is given. The pay is very low and even when you move up in the business they base each pay rise on a percentage from your previous role so you work really hard with little reward.
