Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Evidera full-time for more than a year
Pros
You have the chance to work with smart people on interesting projects. I have worked at Evidera in the Value and Access Consulting department. In general, I have worked with competent people and I learnt a lot from working on different projects at different stages of the asset lifecycle. The company is good for a start as a new graduate, many smart people with strong scientific knowledge and consulting skills.
Cons
The reputation of Evidera is strong in Modelling and Patient-Reported Outcome but it is not established yet in Market Access Consulting. While Evidera overall is a quite diverse company, at the Value and Access Consulting department I found little diversity in the Senior Leadership team. White/British/Male is the common denominator of the Senior Leadership team and if you are a non-native English speaker you have few chances to get there… The team is not inclusive, I found smart colleagues but not friendly at all. Despite the official claims, work-life balance is far from ideal, you should expect to work long hours (often during evenings and sometimes at the weekend). Employees trying to reach their utilization targets will have to work overtime. Senior Leadership does not care much about the employees but more about profit margin and the clients. When you join the company, you need to be careful and do whatever is possible to please the senior staff, since they have a big influence on your performance review and your career progress. There is a poor culture of feedback, Senior Leadership can provide negative feedback about your performance without giving you any direct feedback. You might end up knowing that your performance in a project was negative a few months after the fact, receiving vague second-hand information… The integration of Evidera with PPD caused some discontent in the team because of new processes and more complexity. There are few external training opportunities. Most of the training is provided in house.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Evidera full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Having worked at Evidera for over 4 years, the one thing that nobody can deny is scientific quality and expertise of the team members throughout the business. Although many people have left, there are still some high quality staff there. The scientific reputation of the business is strong and the salaries are among the best in the sector, although you can get more if you go to pharma. You will be able to learn a lot and grow from your time there, especially if you want to develop strong technical skills.
Cons
Over the years the culture became more and more toxic with a total disregard for employee wellbeing and human decency. Blame culture is not only rife, but is top down from the very top of the business. The targets set are totally unrealistic and senior leaders will happily throw anyone they can under the bus and shift the blame when it inevitably comes due to missing targets. Work life balance is non existent and you should expect to work long hours. Don't expect management to treat you like a human being, you're just there to make as much money for the business as possible.

Doesn't RecommendPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Evidera full-time
Pros
Great colleagues, interesting work, good if you want to learn a lot in a short space of time
Cons
Poor work life balance. There is always more work than there is capacity and if you can't say no, you will get overwhelmed very quickly. People who are good at their jobs are given all the work and make up for the workload of those who aren't as good at their jobs.

I have been working at Evidera full-time
Pros
Great people, focussed on scientific projects and interesting methods. Good reputation in the market as a consultancy who solve the toughest problems and apply innovative methods
Cons
The admin workload is absolutely horrendous. Getting anything simple done takes ages and large proportion of time is dealing with internal/finance admin. Means your time is taken away from the clients/interesting projects.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Evidera full-time for less than a year
Pros
Where do I start? Fantastic pay, friendly and competent coworkers, interesting projects and all the support and training you could possibly hope for. An amazing opportunity, especially right after academia. The whole company and every process and task are very well-structured, and everyone is always on top of their workload. Evidera recruits people highly-capable of multi-tasking and project management, so even though there is a lot to do the office never descends into a stressful environment. The work-life balance is great. It's an incredibly productive atmosphere and an great opportunity to learn as much as you can.
Cons
Evaluation of performance is becoming more metric and target driven which can be distracting.
