I have been working at Swinton Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As a current employee for Swinton Insurance I can say that I love my current employment and have done over the last years. Despite the changes Swinton have gone through, I believe we have accepted change and embraced it with customer led intentions and as a result are on the way to further success and benefits for both colleagues and customers. Swinton are dedicated to ensuring every customer is treated fairly and has the result they want. I can't say how much I value this company and what a pleasure it is working for Swinton. To the future!

    Cons

To carry on the great work as their really is no Cons

    Advice to Management

Carry on the great work guys! You really are amazing and such motivated and committed people!

I worked at Swinton Insurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great colleagues to work with, going through a great change pulling the company into the technical world. I personally received great training, I was based in the Northwich branch. Great working hours and flexible when it came to personal life. Gained lots of new skills and qualities whilst with the company.

    Cons

Unfortunalty because peoples buying habbits have changed branches are slowly closing down. With more people buying online or over the phone the company was wasting money on the branches where you can walk in. This is why I totally agree with the companies decisions as a business needs to make money to carry on. This is the reason I left because I needed a secure job, gutted it came down to this though. I would recommend to people who can work in Manchester

I have been working at Swinton Insurance full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

In the main the people that work for Swinton are a great and supportive bunch...it has been tough with all the changes and on the whole people have been supportive

    Cons

Too much emphasis on Data input and not enough on knowledge...the decision for the changes came from on high and I can understand why...however what they didn’t have in place was a proper continuation plan, which has resulted in a them and us mentality between the contact centre and the network. This needs to end along with the negative attitude to the changes. Yes it has been tough but can any of us say we haven’t seen it coming for years?

There is a definite lack of basic knowledge but hopefully along with all the other work that has been going on then this will be addressed

    Advice to Management

Come downstairs, not just when you’re showing visitors around, recognise the decent managers that you have but in the same vein look at the weak ones and put them in the positions they should be in

I worked at Swinton Insurance full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Co workers were the only good thing and having free ups of tea and coffee. We had to keep each other up as the company were putting us down

    Cons

Every single promise made was broken, lied to about the job and throughout my employment. Everyone should leave en masse. Spineless distribution director. Completely ruined my confidence and has had such a detrimental affect on my mental health that I now need therapy. The old board left and paid themselves off and the new people in are just as inhumane.

    Advice to Management

Stop putting up fake reviews and paying for them to be a ‘featured review’

    Pros

The people that work here in branches, cant think of any other pros as so many cons at this company

    Cons

Branch closures, another 12 branches closing, senior managers dont care, favouritism, always looking over your shoulder, is your job safe, nagging doubt and sleepless nights for employees let alone customers

    Advice to Management

No advice as they dont listen, and dont care how they treat people
