Pros

Helping patients (if there is even any medicine available to give them).

Cons

Horrible micro managing superiors, ridiculous pay only $10.50 for patient consultants and $13.50 for product coordinators. They pay a low wage so you’re easy to replace and they don’t have to care about you. Profound lack of leadership among management, no accountability for basic questions. Your tips get double taxed, once on your check and once when they count the tips at the end of the night. Tips are split based on how many hours you work, which is unfair because you can do a phenomenal job and make bank in tips, only to have to share it with other lazy people. This is by far the worst company I’ve worked for and if you’re looking at getting your foot in the door for the Cannabis industry, then I strongly advise looking at Curaleaf or Surterra as they will be opening soon and Trulieve legitimately does not care about their employees. Do not waste your time over working yourself in the slave pits for chump change.

Pros

there are none at Trulieve

Cons

- CEO & husband are convicted fraudsters and currently under investigation by the federal government - among the lowest pay in the FL medical cannabis industry - highest turnover in the industry - incompetent management due to nepotism - terrible communication company-wide - overtime, off-clock & lunch-break violations (wage theft) - firing employees instead of paying them for already approved vacation time - abusive, hostile, authoritarian management - toothless HR department - employee patients treated inferior to other patients by management - heavy shift to "retail" (profit) focus, medical in name-only - constantly hiring new employees, so hours/schedules are unstable - paranoid atmosphere where workers are assumed to be wrong and liable for errors and coordinators and management are presumed innocent and avoid accountability

Pros

Helping medical marijuana patients. If the company could manage to keep product stocked.

Cons

This is no doubt the worst job I’ve ever had. Management is completely incompetent, immature, and flat out lazy. They care nothing about the people working in the store and do the absolute minimum to get by and go home. You’ll never have a set schedule so forget making plans in advance because your schedule will be different every week. Unless of course you’re sick all the time. They regularly let people go home who complain of “not feeling good” so everyone else is forced to pick up the slack. You’ll receive tips but only after it’s divided amongst all 20+ people in the store. Most of whom sit in the back listening to music. If someone tips you, just pocket it before Trulieve robs you. I’m pretty sure they use this money to fix their discrepancies. Most patients make you feel appreciated and helpful but a handful will also try to ruin your day because they’re mad about something out of your control. No worries though, management will swoop in to give them something for free and keep them happy. It was alarming how much they catered to people who complained and made a scene but gave a hard time to the patients bringing in a broken vape pen battery. They say they’ll give you a .25 cent raise after 1 year of work but the 3 employees I still know, haven’t received a raise. No free samples and your employee discount is limited to a certain amount of products. So if you really need more medicine, you’ll be paying full price as an employee. I wish I would’ve left this company sooner. Such a waste of time.
