Pros

It was a good place to work before Bain Capital took over early 2019. Nothing good about the company now.

Cons

Since Bain Capital took the ownership early 2019, typical asset stripping exercises have been going on - cutting down investments, firing people and so on. Number of employees who have been at the company for 10+ years were given one hour notice to pack up and go home. No decency or respects paid to their employees.

Pros

You had a job during the pandemic

Cons

There will always be churn at a company but not a complete exodus of both old and new staff! It is a pretty clear indication of problems yet Senior Management don't know what to do. Senior Managements only objective is to thrash in a transformation project whether it works or not and leave with their date based bonus money. The next generation of staff will be picking up the pieces for the future

Couldn't care less about losing staff

Pros

I was lucky enough to have a good manager who found ways to keep people motivated despite the pressures that the company put on us.

Cons

esure has devolved since Bain and David Mcmillan have taken control. People are an afterthought in the pursuit of technology but the tech isn't up to scratch. No effort is made to retain staff leading to completely unstaffed departments where staff have incredible pressure put on them and customers are waiting hours to get through. People are also swapped between departments to assist high workloads with no care for how this impacts their careers. There are also less percs than there used to be and little progression. The staff that do grow simply leave.
