We could not have been prouder to host our SS24 runway yesterday evening as a part of British Fashion Council‘s, London Fashion Week City Wide Celebration. We were especially honoured to welcome Caroline Rush CBE the CEO of the British Fashion Council and Helen Dickinson OBE the CEO of the British Retail Consortium Our top secret location was revealed on the morning of the event to be Kingsway Tram Tunnel in Holborn, Central London. Once the most important stretch of tram track in London, which linked together the extensive tram networks between the north and south of the city, it’s now an evocative and immersive space hidden underground that we knew would be the ultimate destination to showcase our collection in. Many of our team were delighted to have the opportunity to join a preview show earlier that day. It was wonderful seeing the instant, immense excitement for the product we’ll be wearing and retailing later next year as soon as the models started walking down the runway. That evening, it was the turn of our valued partners and invited guests to join us for our official runway presentation. We also live streamed the event across the world so both customer and colleague were invited to share in the excitement. All runway presentations are a culmination of so much hard work from all members of our product teams as well as our pr, marketing and creative visual merchandising departments. We are so proud of each of them and delighted that SS24 is now out in the open.
We were delighted to bring our North America brand leaders and our LA studios based teams together this week for an action-packed two days in Las Vegas at our brand day. We covered a broad range of topics starting with an update and invitation to follow our dreams from CEO Peter Wood, a catwalk showcasing our incredible product hosted by Catherine Scorey Jobling supported by Rebecca Nye Emma Siddalls, an update from our retail leaders Francesca Mallinson, Kristen Dino as well as presentations from Elaine Deste, Patrick Heitkam, Helene Williamson and James Reid. We were also thrilled to welcome Mark Wexler from Not For Sale who are our long-term community partner to share more about their amazing work. A huge thank you to our behind the scenes team Carrie Goode, Perry Feneley Nicole Walsh, Rod Hamidi and our VM superstars for making it all possible. There’s nothing basic about an AllSaints basic. We know from listening to our customers that there’s lots of love out there for our womenswear jersey. This season, we wanted to do it better than ever before. Each item in our brand new ‘Jersey Tee Project’ has been crafted in super soft, organic cotton to give a luxurious feel to everyday wear. You’ll also notice subtle AllSaints branding across the range. We’ve launched each tee in both white and black colour ways - creating wardrobe essentials we hope will be your go to for years to come. Hear from Junior Designer, Mary who worked on the range below; How did The Jersey Tee Project come about? “On the jersey team we were set the challenge by Catherine, our COO to elevate our jersey offering. Due to the success of previous styles, such as the Anna Tee, Emelyn Tee and Rita Tee, we knew there was room to expand our jersey tee range. We saw a great opportunity for tee’s that have a more relaxed and ‘oversized’ silhouette alongside a clean and modern finish to still provide that AllSaints edge.” Tell us a bit more about the range; “This was such an exciting project to design as we really analysed what our customer wants and what was currently missing from her wardrobe. This means that each new tee shape has its own place within the collection. For example, the Briar Tee is intended for the customer who also loves the Anna Tee - it’s simply been updated to have more ease and in a heavier weight cotton #WeAreAllSaints
We celebrated in style at the launch party of our long awaited AllSaints X Mercer7 and Teddy Soares edits this week. Each friend of AllSaints has hand curated an edit of their 28 favourite pieces from our Autumn collection. You’ll find a blend of tailoring, knitwear, accessories and outerwear throughout each one. Erna, founder of Mercer7 also selected some stunning dresses for her edit and Teddy, some iconic printed shirts - even bringing three back from the AllSaints archive! Both edits are packed with wearable pieces that can be beautifully combined to achieve elevated styling. Great edits deserve great parties so we headed to The NoMad hotel in Central London to celebrate. It was wonderful to share the edits with invited guests, AllSaints colleagues and of course Erna and Teddy themselves. You can see the edits in our stores and online now; Mercer7: https://lnkd.in/e9keRkhs Teddy Soares: https://lnkd.in/e4pBgXyx If you’d like to get some styling inspiration, make sure to check out Mercer7 and Teddy’s Instagrams below. That’s a wrap on our whirlwind UKEU brand days, which saw us getting 100 of our brand leaders from stores all over Europe and the UK together for a packed two days in Manchester. We talked through our strategy with inspiring sessions from Peter Wood, Catherine Scorey Jobling, Sarah Miyun Hong, Matt O'Connor, James Reid, Helene Williamson and our fantastic retail leaders Ewa Turowska, Perry Feneley and Francesca Mallinson. The catwalk was a huge treat and got us all excited for our upcoming autumn winter product, all supported by our amazing design team behind the scenes. The sessions were insightful and varied, with inspiration ranging from the Hubble Telescope to the Spice Girls, via a great update from Donna Mitchell our partner at the Retail Trust. As always, the highlights were building and forming new connections with each other. Our discussions centred on how we move forward, show up for each other and make an impact and we couldn’t be prouder to say #WeAreAllSaints! A huge thank you to Carrie Goode for organising! We were thrilled to open our doors to our newly relocated Las Vegas Forum store on Wednesday. Our teams have been hard at work across the past few weeks to transform the new space into one embedded with AllSaints DNA at every corner. From our signature Singer sewing machines to custom AllSaints embossed leather upholstered furniture, at each part of the in-store customer journey it feels undeniably AllSaints. Our updated iconic AllSaints store design concept in locations such as Beverly Drive and Cardiff has had great impact. So, when it came to creating this new space, it's been exciting to implement features including the curved footwear lounge, Venetian plaster walls and LED AllSaints store front lighting to really elevate the visual experience of the location. After all, it wouldn’t be Las Vegas without some bright lights! One of the AllSaints brand values is #OneTeam. To get our new Forum store to this point has been a combined effort of team members across departments including store design, visual merchandising, merchandising, retail operations, tech and of course the incredible Vegas Forum store team. Come in and see us the next time you’re in town - we can’t wait to show you our new home! #WeAreAllSaints
With the famed Notting Hill Carnival happening in London at the end of August we felt it was only right to get into the celebratory spirit at our East London Studios. Jointly hosted by our Anti-Racism and social committees, we held a pre-carnival celebration last Thursday afternoon. Team members from across the office popped down to enjoy a variety of Jamaican patties from local East London, black owned business, Jamaican Patty Co. We decorated our social space with Caribbean flag bunting and got some party tunes playing to build the atmosphere! The event was a lovely opportunity to celebrate Caribbean culture, enjoy some great food and also simply get together to have a good chat and a laugh! The happiness of our teams is of paramount importance to us. With peak behind us it gives us the perfect chance to reflect on where we've been in our journey, review what has worked well, what has not worked well and move forward with pace. To help us make this year an amazing year not only for our customers but also for our employees we have launched our employee engagement survey "#WeAreAllEars". We have asked everybody, globally across our retail, distribution and studio head office teams, what they love and don’t love so much about life at AllSaints. Once we have everybody’s anonymous feedback an action plan will be created per team, to help make this an amazing place to work. It’s such an exciting time to be a part of this amazing brand and business.
