Our employees' health and well-being has always been one of our top priorities. Now more than ever, Santander is working to ensure their well-being across the world.
Supporting our community. In the last few months, we've all had to learn new ways to connect with people. Whether that's hosting virtual 'pub' quizzes, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and arranging general catch ups with friends and families, we've found new ways to stay connected. For those isolated in our communities, the impact of recent events has heightened the loneliness felt by many. People in our communities will continue to need our support so it's up to all of us to play our part. Making a difference in our communities. Santander staff are making voluntary calls to isolated people, just for a chat, as well as supporting a range of other community activities such as, leaflet drops. Together with Ant and Dec, and our charity partners, we're calling on colleagues to volunteer their time to make a difference to people in our communities - and, for every person that participates, the Santander Foundation will donate £1,000, to be split equally between Alzheimer's Society and Age UK, up to a maximum of £1 million in total.
In partnership with Peppy - we're now the first employer to provide expert personalised support to our people who are going through the menopause. We recognise the impacts that menopause can have on the lives of individuals and their families and as a responsible employer we see this support as a key part of our wider heath and wellbeing strategy to help our colleagues to thrive in the workplace.
For the 10th year the #TimesTop50 is celebrating workplace gender equality in organisations. At Santander we are proud to feature on the Top 50 list ? creating a thriving workplace that attracts, retains and rewards the most talented and committed people.
