We took to the streets of Brighton on Saturday to celebrate diverse voices and inclusive communities, as part of the Brighton & Hove Pride LGBTQ+ Community Parade 2024 π³οΈβπ Bringing together teams from our Commercial and Treatment divisions, the parade also featured a specially decorated waste vehicle and e-bike. For us, the message is simple: it takes a community to achieve ecological transformation, and we know how important it is to champion diversity and inclusion in the areas we serve. Everyone who took part had a great day celebrating Pride on the streets of Brighton!
The scores are in, and this year's UEFA Champions League Final was the greenest ever, thanks to a joint effort from Veolia, Wembley Stadium and Brent Council π Our team of 20 staff collected 6.2 tonnes of waste and recycling from in and around the stadium, making sure that the maximum amount of materials were captured for recycling. To collect waste from around the stadium, the team used a fully electric fleet, which includes road sweepers, e-bikes and refuse collection vehicles. As well as helping to keep the area clean and tidy, this also minimised air and noise pollution. π
