Last month, we once again had the pleasure of taking part in the Pride in London parade with Westminster City Council. π³οΈβπ As well as showing off our specially decorated vehicles, we cheered and sang our way around London, all with our key message in mind: that it takes a community to achieve ecological transformation. After the parade, our teams carried out the clean up operation and managed the waste from the event, ensuring the maximum amount of materials were captured for recycling. We'll be taking part in other Pride events throughout the year, and we can't wait to share with you what we get up to as a community!
For the second year running, Veolia has been recognised in The Sunday Times' Best Places to Work awards. The results have earned us a place in the top 10 'very big organisations' to work for, and we have been rated excellent for job satisfaction, empowerment and instilling pride at work. This award recognises the progress we're making to ensure every individual feels supported, valued and empowered to contribute to our purpose of ecological transformation π

Did you know that global plastic production has DOUBLED since the start of the century? π Reducing unnecessary plastic and establishing a circular economy is crucial to eliminate plastic pollution and decarbonise. Plastic can still exist on a healthy planet, as long as it's recycled and managed sustainably. Facilities like our Dagenham plant are a vital part of the closed loop system for plastics. At Dagenham, we reprocess 14,000 tonnes of plastics a year, sorting and shredding used milk bottles and turning them into pellets, ready to be turned back into new bottles. This circular system is a perfect example of how the environmental impact of plastics can be limited through the regeneration of resources β»
