Back-to-back meetings, late-night phone calls, tough decisions…the life of a CEO is demanding, but most of them wouldn’t have it any other way. After all, it’s not just about hard work — it’s about investing in a company you believe in, inspiring employees to reach their full potential and facilitating groundbreaking innovation.
Today, Glassdoor recognises those superb executive leaders through our annual Employees’ Choice Awards, honouring the Top CEOs in 2018 with lists for UK, U.S. large (1,000+ employees), U.S. small and medium (fewer than 1,000 employees), Canadian, French and German employers. The leaders featured on these lists aren’t just helping their businesses drive revenue or acquire new customers — they’re engaging, motivating and uplifting their teams, as demonstrated by the reviews employees have left on Glassdoor.
Coming in at number one on the UK list is Richard Flint of Sky Betting & Gaming, with an employee approval rating of 99%. This is the first time Richard has secured the number one spot, and the first year that Sky Betting & Gaming has featured on a UK Top CEOs list. Employees rave about the ‘family feel’ he’s fostered and ‘forward thinking culture’, as well as his ‘transparent and open senior leadership style’.
Other companies at the top of the UK lists are as follows:
- Richard Flint, Sky Betting & Gaming - 99% Approval
- Satya Nadella, Microsoft - 99% Approval
- Richard D. Fairbank, Capital One - 98% Approval
- Marc Benioff, Salesforce - 98% Approval
