Pros
20% discount on almost everything. Pension scheme That's literally it. Not so long ago I could have posted so much here.
Cons
Used to be very very good. Completely changed and have sold their soul for corporate greed. Processes are awful and change every year. Management is if your face fits. Kpis are ridiculous and don't even add up. Constant cutting of hours and increasing the workload. They manipulate the numbers intentionally to make things fit, such as case rate per hour which is the highest by far that I have heard of in industry and we have to part fill everything on cold chain and manually display all products compared to main supermarkets where it's almost all shelf ready packaging and you only fill whole cases and displays are built to hold the volume you get delivered. Not here at M&S where your chillers are ram packed and waste is criminal. As a manager u have to perform at a certain level to get a payrise and hit kpi's that your manager can't even explain and there is no bonus at all. If you are responsible for say 2 out of 5 kpis and u smash yours but the others are crap that effects you and your held back or not rated what you should because of that. Compare this to other retailers where you guaranteed a payrise and can get a bonus and your individual performance is also taken into consideration but not here at the almighty m&s. Oh and they are so desperate for managers they just promote you from colleague to manager with no experience at all, I'm sure if you say you will do it is all you need to get yourself promoted. Place is a shambles now. It used to be brilliant but it's worse than anywhere now.
